Royal Parks run for Moor House

Moor House parent Gavin O’Reilly is taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon this October in aid of the School & College.

The event, on Sunday 13th October, takes place within four of London’s eight Royal Parks, Hyde Park, Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens.

Gavin says: “I have somewhat foolheartedly decided to take part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon in October, particularly as I only have one working knee. However to give me inspiration as the miles tick by and the run gets more gruelling, I have decided to do it for charity and that charity is Moor House School and College.

“My child, Alex, is now in Year 9 at Moor House and he has really flourished both in terms of his academic ability but also in terms of his confidence.

“My wife and I are so grateful that he gets to be nurtured at this incredible school that I want to try and help in some small way to help and maybe my pain and suffering on the big day will be worth it.

“Any contribution you can make would be gratefully received and can help ensure that other kids can benefit in the way Alex has.”
