2025 Surrey Half-Marathon

Entries are now open for the Surrey Half Marathon on Sunday 16th March 2025 and you could be there, running for Moor House School & College.

You’ll enjoy an award-winning atmosphere in an accessible, central location, glorious scenery, and closed road routes.

This picturesque race, which includes 5k and Kids races, is made even more popular by live performances from local bands, aid stations, and communities of cheering spectators. It also boasts one of the fastest half-marathon finish times on record!

Your entry will include:

TCS Mini London Marathon

Saturday 26th April 2025
London

We’re excited to invite students aged 17 or under to take part in the TCS Mini London Marathon on Saturday 26 April 2025.

Students will run, jog, walk or wheel one mile or 2.6k in the heart of the capital, before crossing the iconic TCS London Marathon Finish Line to receive a TCS Mini London Marathon medal.

Safety is a top priority. The event takes place on a closed, secure route with stewards and a dedicated Welfare Team to make sure all the children have a safe and enjoyable experience.

All participants need to be escorted to a safe and secure “drop off” zone at the start area an collected from a safe zone by the finish line.

Children in Year 3 or above on Event Day can complete the route on their own, but there is the option for adult escorts too.

We want as many children as possible to participate, so there is a one-mile event for children in Reception to Year 7 and a 2.6K route for those in Years 4 to 12 who can go a bit further.

The event is free to enter and what’s more, the title partner, TCS, will give Moor House £10 for every student who finishes the event... and we would love you to fundraise for Moor House by getting sponsored too.

Registration will open in January and applications will only be accepted via the school, so please complete the Expression of Interest form as soon as possible!

Luke Thorogood’s Charity Gala Night!

Former Moor House student Luke Thorogood has taken the initiative to organise a Charity Gala Night in support of the school, inspired by the impact Moor House had on his life.

After attending our summer fete, Luke reflected on how the school helped him build confidence and life skills, and he wanted to give back.

Using his connections from his time working at Avisford Park Hotel, Arundel, Luke has put together an incredible evening on Saturday 24th May 2025, that promises to be both fun and meaningful.

Event Highlights:

• A welcome drink
• A delicious three-course meal with wine
• Casino tables
• Auction
• DJ and dancing

Parents, friends, neighbours, colleagues, and corporate tables are all welcome! Discounted hotel rooms are also available for the night.
