Work begins on Hub
We’re delighted to announce that work on our new Therapy and Specialist Teaching Hub is underway after Trustees and Governors approved the project earlier this year.
The new building, which will provide vital space for Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and a purpose-built sensory room as well as versatile teaching space, has received strong support from Trusts and Foundations* in addition to school funds and community fundraising.
Contractors Integra were appointed in May to deliver the project, which began internally with the decommissioning of several existing buildings, before site set up commenced on Thursday 15th July.
As the summer term ended, demolition work could safely begin on 22nd July and we hope the shell of the new building will be in place before students return in September.
Completion of the project, including all fixtures and fittings, is due by mid-November.
