2.6 Challenge Success!
Back in April the organisers of the biggest mass participation events across the country came together to create the 2.6 Challenge - a campaign encouraging people to take part in fundraising activities based around the number 2.6. Moor House stepped up to the challenge.
Moor House has been in a very fortunate position during the Covid-19 crisis but we recognise that many other charities have been struggling to maintain services because of a huge reduction in income.
An eager group of Moor House, staff took on the couch to 5k plan during lockdown in order to keep fit and positive. They decided to incorporate the national 2.6 challenge by running 2.6k each on Sunday 26th April, and encouraged the wider Moor House community to join in.
The result was an amazing wooden spoon virtual relay that you can view at https://www.facebook.com/MoorHouseSchoolandCollege/videos/3028555933924035/
Almost £1000 was raised for The British Red Cross and in addition to the relay some incredibly imaginiative challenges were devised including 26 star jumps, a 26km bike ride and straightening 26x26m garden borders!
Well done to everyone who took part. You are all fantastic.
