Mental Health Awareness Week 2020
This week, 18-24 May 2020 is Mental Health Awareness Week.
Hosted by the Mental Health Foundation, the theme this year is kindness, promoting the benefits a small act of kindness can have in helping others and supporting our own well-being in these uncertain times.
The supporter pack, which can be downloaded below, is full of information and activities to engage with throughout the week, from telling someone you know how thankful you are for them, to reaching out to a friend, family member or neighbour who may be lonely.
The Mental Health Foundation state: "One thing that we have seen all over the world is that kindness is prevailing in uncertain times.
"We have learnt that amid the fear, there is also community, support and hope. The added benefit of helping others is that it is good for our own mental health and wellbeing. It can help reduce stress and improve emotional wellbeing."
